In modern society, information is continuously generated, and alongside information analysis, there is a growing demand for skills in data management and the effective application of data-driven insights.
In response to this demand, the Department of Convergence Informatics is structured around core areas that strengthen professional and analytical expertise in big data and information science, grounded in a broad understanding of humanity and society and an informatics-based perspective. The program offers three advanced specialization tracks—Data Science Convergence, Business Informatics Convergence, and Human Science Convergence—and is designed to fulfill the educational objectives and ideal graduate profile of the Graduate School.

The Convergence Informatics major develops students’ abilities to analyze and interpret complex data, enabling faster, more rational decision-making in diverse, dynamic, and increasingly complex organizational and social environments.
Korea Cyber University Graduate School imposes no restrictions based on undergraduate major. Applicants from any academic backgrounds—including the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, and engineering—are eligible to apply. The program welcomes individuals who wish to enhance their understanding of information and informatics, particularly in big data analysis, in connection with their professional roles. The graduate curriculum begins with foundational courses that introduce the structure of the information society and progresses to a wide range of data analysis principles and techniques using tools such as Python and R. Data analysis training encompasses both statistical analysis and large-scale big data analytics across diverse industrial fields.
