Dept. of Child Studies

Self-driven and influential children become happy leaders

The Department of Child Studies aims to cultivate experts in child studies who will contribute to the healthy and happy growth of children.
The curriculum of Child Studies is composed of ‘Child Care’, ‘Child Support Expert’, ‘Child Creativity Development’, and ‘Multicultural Child Guidance’.
‘Child Care’ provides opportunities for students to learn practical guidance through subjects for obtaining second-class nursery teaching qualifications and face-to-face on-site training, and enhances field expertise through the bachelor’s degrees of nursery teachers and retraining.
The ‘Child Support’ offers practical approaches such as parent education, child guidance, and education on the rights of children in order to provide support for the healthy rearing of children based on child development and rights.
The ‘Child Creativity Development’ delivers expertise that allows students to discover and develop the strengths and potential of children through creative education and converged education to encourage the child creativity required for the future.
The newly introduced, ‘Multicultural Child Guidance’ course reflects the request made from the field to provide practical support to increase the understanding of multicultural families and provide child guidance and parent education for the parents of multicultural families.
