To cultivate talents who will lead the way for the era of multi-culture and international cooperation at the center of the world with the prospect of building communication with the citizens of the world

The Division of Korean Language and Multiculture offers an undergraduate degree that cultivates experts in Korean language and culture to meet the demand both at home and abroad in the era of globalization in the 21st century and educate talents who will fulfill the mission of the times for Korean society which still requires further international cooperation through its transformation and development into a multicultural society.
The Division of Korean Language and Multiculture consists of a major in Korean language education and a major in multicultural and international cooperation, and this undergraduate course allows students to earn the certificate of Korean Language Teacher level 2 (National Institute of Korean Language) and the certificate of a multicultural society expert level 2 (Ministry of Justice).

Korean Language Education Studies
Cultivates Korean language teachers with professional knowledge in

regarding Korean culture

The Cyber University of Korea designed this major with the belief that the role of Korean language teachers should not be confined to just teaching Korean, thus recognizing them as diplomatic representatives who will introduce the Korean culture to foreign countries. They will also be assistants to migrant wives and migrant workers who will be able to assimilate in a positive manner into our society.
Korean Language Education Studies conducts well-rounded education to nurture Korean language teachers equipped with expertise in Korean language education and a broad understanding of Korean culture and society. After studying at the Department of Korean Language, students can become competent Korean language teachers with fluent Korean and foreign languages (English, Japanese, and Chinese); professionals with deep cultural knowledge and teaching competence, and mature professionals with a thorough social education who can understand and help other peoples and their cultures. These results will reward the efforts of students and give them a sense of achievement.

Multiculture & International Cooperation Studies
Cultivates talents who will help immigrants in Korea and contribute to the
resolution of various international issues, keeping up with the multicultural
and internationalized era

The Cyber University of Korea has run the 'Multicultural Family e-Learning Campaign', developed the 'Quick Korean' program to help immigrants in Korea better settle, and distributed the Korean language/cultural education programs free of charge firmly built upon the ideals of 'creativity and service' since its foundation. As a result of such efforts, the Cyber University of Korea has fully established its presence as the most highly regarded educational institution for Korean language and cultural education in Korea, as evidenced by it being selected as a 'social integration program operator' by the Ministry of Justice.

The Multiculture & International Cooperation Studies established against this backdrop aims to help students comprehensively understand the multicultural phenomena triggered by immigration and the environment of globalization. In addition to fostering professional knowledge in multiculture and globalization, the curriculum also cultivates talents who are capable of converging multicultural thinking through cooperation with neighboring disciplines such as Korean language studies, social welfare studies, public health administration studies, and education studies.

The curriculum consists of the multicultural society expert track and the international development and cooperation specialist track. Students can earn the certificate of a multicultural society expert level 2 and the certificate of an international development and cooperation expert (general certification for the ODA) based on the professional knowledge obtained through classes. In particular, those who wish to work as multicultural society experts will have the opportunity to teach the Korea Immigration and Integration Program (KIIP) for immigrants residing in Korea or provide education for kindergarten, elementary, middle, and high school students, and the general public as educational experts certified by the Ministry of Justice.
